My Inclusion Statement

I was lucky enough to be given a scholarship from the amazing Hank Paul for their Authentic Allyship Academy (you should def check this out) and as a result of my learnings there I’ve been working away at writing my own inclusion statement…

I am so very proud to be the only Virtual Business Manager in Aotearoa New Zealand who is dedicated to working with women and queer folk.

My commitment is to amplify voices, challenge norms, and foster a more equitable, supportive and respectful business landscape.

I stand for inclusivity, integrity, and empowerment.

My business is a safe place, where you can show up as your authentic self. I’ve got your back!

Have you thought about this for your business?

It’s something I’m starting to see a lot more of. In the US they are more commonly called a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI or DE&I) Statement.

If you have one, I’d love to read it! Please hit reply and send it my way, or reply if you just want to have a chat about why the heck it’s an important thing to do.

Mine is far from finished, this will be iterated on constantly. I need to add something about how I am honouring Te Tiriti O Waitangi ASAP.

Here are some examples of Inclusion Statements and DEI’s, and other relevant links for inspiration:
